Palm beach kindergarten is a community based, not for profit, preschool that operates from 9am to 3pm during school terms. These records are displayed in a portfolio which includes examples of your child's work throughout the year, photos and assessments. They are also designed to track children's development and can identify any areas that your child may need help with. These records help us with our educational programming on a day-to-day and long-term basis. Each child enrolled at the kindergarten will have comprehensive and on-going developmental records. The daily routine is carefully planned and designed to provide a balance of learning experiences including indoor and outdoor activities, individual, quiet and active play, small and large group experiences. They continually develop and modify the program in line with individual children's needs and interests. The educational program is designed and implemented by the teaching staff. We have two beautiful outdoor areas that provide a wide range of learning possibilities. Palm beach kindergarten offers a challenging array of equipment and play materials that are professionally selected. During the first few weeks of each year the kindergarten employs an additional staff member known as 'the cuddler' to help settle in the new children. We are licensed for 29 children to attend each day and have four staff members working with these children each day. Three of these staff members have early childhood qualifications. The younger children (3 to 4 years old) generally attend on mondays and tuesdays with the older children (4 to 5 years old) attending on wednesday, thursday and fridays. The kindergarten has established strong links with local schools and also with specialists such as speech pathologists and occupational therapists to ensure every child has the smoothest possible transition to school.

As a community based preschool we labor closely with families to produce a hot and happy environment for our children. At Palm Beach Cindy we succeed The Premature Years' Framework, our vision is for all children to experience play based learning that is engaging and builds success for life. The framework is to be old in partnerships with educators and families to prosper learning programs that are responsive to children's ideas, interests, strengths and abilities and recognize that children learn through play. IN RELATION TO CHILDREN We trust that all children are special, unique, capable and resourceful. We trust that by providing a play based program that encourages curiosity, play, collaboration and exploration, children are capable to prosper in all areas. We aim to promote relationships that' encourage children to feel a sense of belonging, being and becoming. Children should be encouraged to learn and think for themselves and engage in relationships of caring and respect. Through active involvement with the environment children make sense of the world around them i.e. We believe that a stimulating environment is imperative to the development of the children's interest abilities and self esteem while promoting respect as well as being safe. As educators we encourage children to disclose respect for the environment in which we live. We believe that it is urgent to flourish significant connections within the broader community. It is important that we promote children to adopt values, attitudes and ways of living that will enable them to contribute to their community. We continually strive to meet the needs of the community and to be involved in community events. All of these staff members have premature childhood qualifications.
